Metavante completes GHR Systems acquisition

Mortgage Broker By WTN News • 08/12/05 MILWAUKEE -- Metavante Corp., the financial technology subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corp., has completed its acquisition, announced in June, of Wayne, Pa.-based GHR Systems, Inc., a provider of loan origination solutions for the residential mortgage and consumer finance industries that offers point-of-sale products and comprehensive underwriting, processing and closing technology.

GHR Systems will become a Metavante subsidiary.

GHR's client base includes four of the top 10 and 15 of the top 50 U.S. mortgage lenders, according to Frank R. Martire, Metavante president and chief executive officer.

Metavante also has announced that it will acquire Brasfield Corp., of Birmingham, Ala. Once the $15 million acquisition is completed, the company will become a Metavante subsidiary and continue to operate under the Brasfield name.

Founded in 2002, Brasfield provides core banking processing and customer service to 46 community banks located primarily in the southeastern United States, all of which license and use Bankway software from Kirchman Corp, a Metavante company. Brasfield also provides check and document imaging and check exchange services to more than 100 community banks in the Southeast.
